What We Do

In Baltimore, women needing to escape sexual exploitation, sex trafficking, and domestic abuse have only emergency, short-term housing options to turn to.

That’s why we’ve founded Prosperity Place - a Christian non-profit organization creating long-term residential housing, resources, and community for female survivors that need a real way out.

By 2023, our new, residential housing program will fill this gap to become the only long-term housing solution for female survivors between 18-35 in the Baltimore, Maryland area.

With a welcoming heart, our home will be far more than just a safe place to sleep. Within its walls, we’ll facilitate a high-quality, daily restorative program of therapy, resources, and community.

We’ll not only provide an escape from abuse, but we’ll equip women with the keys they’ll need to heal complex traumas and build fulfilling lives.

Founded and led by Shawn Morgan, a critical care nurse who’s treated hundreds of survivors throughout her career, Prosperity Place is an ever-growing community of survivor allies and survivors.

We are banding together to form a national ministry with a global perspective to help women recover and thrive.

As we prepare to open our doors in the months ahead, we’re accepting donations and support from individual donors, grants, foundations, and corporations. To support or join our mission, connect with us today.

We’d love your help to establish this home for equipping, encouraging, and empowering survivors. Because together, we can help so many women rebuild their lives - one key at a time.
